Psalm 119:105 -Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

I am a planner. I find small amounts of joy in purchasing a new calendar each year and filling in all the potential activities. I like to know what will be going on tomorrow, and the tomorrow after that, and so on …

Considering I have already written in when I am going to complete my class readings for the ENTIRE semester … not knowing what I am doing after graduation is slightly unnerving. But that is the thing about walking by faith and not by my sight … it is sometimes unnerving, unprecedented, and never out of control.

So recently I have been given a small glimpse of what is in store for me … but only up to July 8.

One week after graduation I will be returning to Romania for a short time leading a team to work in an orphanage alongside some of my closest friends on the planet. They are missionaries with Stepping Forward.

One week after I return from Romania I will be co-leading a team to Haiti working at Pillatre Christian Center near Cape Haitien, Haiti.

One week after I return from Haiti I run off to upstate New York to help out with pre-field training for International Educators.

I covet your prayers for safety, strength, creativity, and no lost luggage …

I am often reminded of Psalm 119:105 as I sit through the not knowing. We are given light through the living Word to our feet. The small bubble of space immediately surrounding us at that time is illuminated. With each step, a new part of the path is reveal as new light is shed.

This morning I read a passage from a commentary on Acts 16:

There will be guidance via circumstances, sometimes extraordinary, as well as through the use of reason in evaluating circumstances in the light of God's Word. And specific guidance will come only to those who are already on the road, living out their general obedience to the Great Commission. (www.biblegateway.com)

What is important is that we are in motion, walking down our lit path… one step at a time.
